Hello, welcome to my website! My name is Mitchell and I am a Computer Engineer from Jersey City, NJ.

I currently work as a Junior Technical Development & Quality Analyst at Build-A-Bear Workshop, working on e-commerce related projects and QA.

  • Junior Technical Development & Quality Analyst

    Build-A-Bear Workshop - 2023 - Present

      Work on the IT department's web team on the maintenance and development of two websites using Salesforce Commerce Cloud SFRA serving as the primary Quality Assurance Engineer for web projects.

      Perform regular smoke testing and regression testing across both websites to ensure feature requests are implemented properly and critical functionality is maintained.

      Manage and complete programming tasks using Jira for project tracking and task management, ensuring timely and accurate execution and delivery of feature requests, updates, and bug fixes.

      Diagnose and suggest solutions to critical site issues to ensure fixes are implemented promptly to minimize the number of lost orders.

      Assist the customer service team regarding invalid and failed web orders in Deck Commerce to ensure customer orders are all fulfilled.

      Employ tools such as Contentsquare and Siteimprove to identify and report errors that may lead to a loss of customer conversion and revenue.

      Create email marketing blasts using MJML, Email on Acid, and Acoustic based on Figma designs for customer mailing lists of over 400,000 people.

      Assist IT department with projects including setup, migration, and deployment of user laptops using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, Active Directory, and BitLocker through Intune. Develop scripts to automate IT tasks.

    Conair LLC - 2021 - 2022

      Worked in IT department on maintenance and creation of storefront websites using Salesforce Commerce Cloud and communicated with internal and third-party groups for bug fixes and feature requests.

      Created scripts to assist with data collection, manipulation, analysis, and importing for product details, price books, and customer data.

      Served as Technical PM of Customer Service and handled internal support tickets for product updates, asset updates, order/customer information, and troubleshooting on sites. Utilized Kount and Stripe for purchasing-related issues.

      Attended trade shows as part of IT team responsible for networking and point of sale system operation and providing support for our custom sales application across large sections of the show floor.

An IT support ticketing web app created with JavaScript, Node.js, MongoDB, Express.js, Handlebars, and Bootstrap.

Core features include user accounts, login page, landing pages, tickets, and comments.

Psyche

Sep 2022 - May 2023

Developed a hardware and software solution to tackle the issue of inadequate and imprecise identification of stress.

Employed the OpenBCI Ultracortex and relevant libraries to visually deliver stress analysis in real-time on a scale of 1 through 10 using brain activity.

Winner of the 2023 David and GG Farber Societal Impact Award, established to create awareness of the impact innovation can have on society.

Pedestrian System

Feb 2022 - May 2022

Developed a program that can detect the presence of people in a crosswalk to determine if it is safe to change traffic signals using C++ and the OpenCV library.

Tested with real-world data.

GPT-3 Chatbot

Jun 2021 - Oct 2021

Developed a chatbot using OpenAI's GPT-3 model APIs to converse with users on Discord.

Implemented a memory system so the bot was able to remember chat history.

GPT-2 Chatbot

May 2021 - Jul 2021

Developed a chatbot using a custom-trained implementation of OpenAI's GPT-2 model based on my friends' chat history.

Made use of Google Colab for GPU computing while training the model.

Weather Station

Jan 2020 - May 2020

Designed and programmed an Arduino-based IoT weather station using sensors to collect weather data and upload it to an external server and display the data in LabView using web API calls.

Autonomous Robot

Sep 2019 - Dec 2019

Designed and programmed an Arduino-based mobile robot to complete a series of objectives without human intervention.

Zamasu

Feb 2018 - May 2018

Developed a Discord bot strictly designed around community moderation, that was utilized by over 500 communities.

Features included: automated mod logging, kicking users, banning users, warning users, invite detection, and custom per community administrator defined banned word filtering and deletion.

Made use of RethinkDB to store community and user data.

M8 Bot

Jan 2017 - Jun 2019

Developed and programmed M8 Bot using Node JS, a chatbot made for the Discord chat platform, that was utilized by over 4,600 communities.

Its main purpose was to automatically announce to Discord communities when users of Twitch or Mixer, two popular live-streaming platforms, started a live stream.

Made use of RethinkDB to store community and user data.
